On the day Jayson Tatum suffered a foot injury in front of more than 60 NBA scouts, several other players excelled at Duke’s Pro Day.

Junior guard Grayson Allen, sophomore guard Luke Kennard and freshman center Marques Bolden all impressed, according to multiple scouts in attendance.

“Allen and Kennard looked great,” one scout said.

“Tatum is the truth, Bolden is going to be huge for them this year,” a second scout said. “Allen and Kennard are going to be tough to guard.”

Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski praised Allen on Wednesday morning’s SportsCenter.

“Grayson’s one of the best players in America,” he said. “Grayson can really score the ball, he can defend and he hates to lose. I love him, I’m glad that he came back and he’s going to try to graduate in three years which is a pretty hard thing to do from Duke University.”

Tatum is projected as the No. 3 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by DraftExpress.com, Bolden is at No. 8 and Allen at No. 25.

Duke is the preseason No. 1 team in the USA Today/Coaches’ Poll.
