Mayan Kiir, the 6-foot-9 power forward from Victory Rock (FL) Prep, announced his commitment to VCU on Monday over LSU, NC State, Illinois, and Louisville.
Kiir took an official visit to VCU last month (Oct. 22). He joins Lavar Batts, Sean Mobley, and Marcus Santos-Silva as the fourth commit in VCU’s 2017 class.
“He has a great upside, he has a great motor and can really pass and score in the post,” Victory Rock Prep coach Loren Jackson said.
VCU now has the 23rd ranked recruiting class in 2017 according to 247Sports.
