Jordan Lathon, the 6-foot-4 point guard from Grandview (MO) High School, announced his commitment to Northwestern Sunday via Twitter, following an official visit earlier in the week (June 20).
“Choosing a college is one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever had,” said Lathon in a statement released on Twitter. “After much prayer & consideration, I’ve decided that I want to further my education & basketball career with Coach Chris Collins and his staff [at] Northwestern University. I’m your next Point Guard.”
Lathon chose Northwestern over Illinois, Butler, Iowa State, and Wake Forest. Before visiting Northwestern, Lathon also took an official visit to Iowa State earlier this month (June 15).
Ranked by 247Sports as the No. 151 player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 4 player from the state of Missouri, Lathon is Northwestern’s first commit in the Class of 2018.
