Samba Diallo, the 6-foot-7 small forward from Pope John XXIII (NJ) High School and the New York Jayhawks, announced his commitment to UMass on Monday via Twitter.
“He’s a 6-foot-7, long, ultra-athletic wing who is extremely versatile,” New York Jayhawks coach Jay David told ZAGSBLOG on Monday. “He can guard and play multiple positions. I don’t believe he’s scratched the surface yet and will be a pleasant surprise to all UMASS fans.”
Ranked the No. 31 small forward in the Class of 2018 by ESPN.com, Diallo was also considering Hofstra, VCU, St Joseph’s, and St Bonnie’s.
