Michael Devoe, the 6-foot-4 point guard from Montverde Academy (FL), committed to Georgia Tech on Saturday.
The 21st ranked point guard in the class of 2018, Devoe also considered Clemson, UConn, Florida, Indiana, Ohio State, USC, and Wake Forest.
“I want to thank God, my family, friends, and everyone who supported me through everything! I have officially committed to Georgia Tech,” he Tweeted.
Devoe is the 122nd overall prospect in the class per 247. He joins small forward Kristian Sjolund in coach Josh Pastner’s 2018 class.
“He has pro guard potential because of his size and feel for the game,” Montverde coach Kevin Boyle Sr. said. “Most good players struggle to play with other talented guys but one of Mike’s best attributes and what makes him a key piece for our team is that his game is elevated when he has other talented players around him. The weight room will be crucial for him, but he has the tools to get to the highest level.”
Georgia Tech remains in the mix for several 2018 prospects, including Khalid Moore, Nassir Little, Keyontae Johnson and Will Richardson.
