A week after decommitting from Louisville due to the FBI probe, four-star guard Courtney Ramey finds himself at square one of the recruiting episode for the second time.

High-major programs who were heavily involved with Ramey before he committed to the Cardinals are taking their chance at another shot at Ramey.

“Some of the people who were there in the beginning, even outside of Louisville, like Texas has made it a point that he’s still option number one and they’re ramping it up.” Ramey’s father, Terrell, told Scout. “The new staff at Ohio State, they’re coming deep and calling like crazy saying he’s option number one and Marquette, Purdue, of course, Missouri as well.”

Ramey is also getting in touch with new schools such as Texas A&M, Wichita State, Clemson, and Cincinnati.

As for visits, both Ramey and his father feels there’s no need to rush and doesn’t have any visits planned at this point.

“Courtney wants to have a relationship with the head coach, and that’s grade A, number one,” Ramey told Scout. “Number two, he’s a student of the game, so he’s going to watch playing styles and things like that and go from there. There are some schools he likes a lot and some schools that he’s very intrigued by, so therefore those are schools we’re going to go out and visit.”

According to 247Sports, Ramey is the no. 9 point guard in the 2018 class and the No. 1 player from the state of Missouri.
