Simi Shittu, the 6-foot-10 power forward from Vermont Academy (VT), has committed to Vanderbilt, via The Players’ Tribune.
“I just felt like it was home already,” Shittu told 247 Sports. “The players and everyone was so welcoming, the whole city. The coaches’ vision for me was just great.” Shittu took a visit to Vanderbilt the weekend of Oct.6, and it was his only official visit after canceling trips to Arizona and North Carolina. Shittu is the third member of a top-10 recruiting class for head coach Bryce Drew which also includes Aaron Nesmith and top-5 point guard Darius Garland. According to NBADraft.net, Shittu is the projected No. 9 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
