Patrick Kelly, the 6-foot-7 small forward from Virginia Episcopal (VA) School, announced his commitment to Penn State on Thursday via Twitter. He took his unofficial visit to PSU on Saturday (Jan. 27).
“Extremely excited to announce I am going to further my academic and athletic career at Penn State University,” said Kelly via Twitter.
Kelly chose Penn State over schools such as Providence, Richmond, and UNLV, among others. He is the first commit in the Nittany Lions’ 2019 class.
“On the Penn State visit I was able to see the facilities and see them play Michigan in football,” Kelly told BigShots.net following his unofficial visit. He also took unofficial visits to Ohio State, Wake Forest, Georgetown, and Virginia.
