Vanderbilt on Thursday landed a pledge from Syracuse transfer Matthew Moyer.

As per NCAA transfer rules, the 6-foot-7 Moyer will sit the 2018-19 season.

“Definitely my relationship with the whole staff,” Moyer said by text. “Truly an amazing staff!

He also considered Kansas State, Florida and Texas.

He averaged 3.2 point and 3.4 rebounds last season at Syracuse.

Vanderbilt is also bringing in point guard Darius Garland, small forward Aaron Nesmith and power forward Simi Shittu. They remain in the mix for shooting guard Romeo Langford, who announces April 30 between Indiana, Kansas and Vanderbilt. The Commodores also add Notre Dame transfer Matt Ryan this year.
