Jalen Lecque, the 6-foot-4 guard from the NY Rens AAU program and The Christ School (N.C.), has picked up an offer from Kentucky, a source confirmed to ZAGSBLOG.
Kentucky assistants Kenny Payne and Tony Barbee watched him this past weekend at the Nike EYBL stop in Indianapolis.
Andrew Slater first reported the offer.
Lecque, who grew up in both Teaneck, N.J., and The Bronx, is a highly explosive and athletic guard who is still developing his shot. He is ranked No. 11 in the 2019 class by ESPN.com.
Lecque, who reclassified down to the 2019 class and transferred to The Christ School (N.C.), also recently added offers from Indiana and Louisville.
Lecque runs with the NY Rens, the same AAU program that produced Kentucky guard Hamidou Diallo.
Last month, Lecque was one of 21 players invited by the NCAA and USA Basketball to compete in the first Next Generation Sunday Program at the Final Four. The players competed against overseas NBA Academies and also attended the NCAA Tournament semifinals and played on the Alamodome floor.
