NEW YORK — Arizona coach Sean Miller and LSU coach Will Wade won’t testify in the criminal case on corruption in college basketball that is set to begin on Monday.
Assistant coaches are on the witness list, and head coaches may still be called to testify, defense attorney, Andrew Mathias told us Friday outside the courtroom.
Here is my story with Bruce Pascoe in the Arizona Daily Star and one from The Advocate in Louisiana.
Last month, defense attorney Steve Haney said he would get “as many [coaches] as I can get in the courtroom” on the stand and said, “We’re going to pull back the curtain” on corruption in college basketball. When asked Friday what evidence he had that Miller is paying players, Haney said, “You’ll have to be here to hear the evidence.”
