Frank Anselem, the 6-foot-10 center from Prolific Prep (CA), picked up an offer from Kansas on Tuesday, he announced via Twitter.
According to 247Sports, Anselem is ranked as the No. 60 overall player in the Class of 2021 and the No. 9 ranked center. But he has the option of going to college in 2020.
“KU is a great school with lots of history and tradition,” Anselem told ZAGSBLOG Tuesday. “They’re one of the most successful colleges in America in both academics and basketball. The fans are lit. It’s great!”
Anselem also broke down his potential fit with the Jayhawks.
“I can play the four or the five positions,” he said. “Kansas runs lots of ball screens so I feel like I’ll fit perfectly. ”
Kansas is also among the final three for 7-foot Canadian big man Javonte Brown-Ferguson, who plans to announce soon between UConn, Kansas and Texas A&M. Like Anselem, he has the option of going to college in 2020 and is expected to do so.
Anselem picked up an offer from Oregon on Thursday.
“Oregon is a good school too,” he said. “Everyone wants to play for Oregon. Their facilities are one of the best in the country. It’s nice up there in Eugene.”
Arizona, Arizona State and USC are also among the schools in pursuit of Anselem.
“I plan to visit Arizona and Arizona state along with USC but no official date has been set,” Anselem told ZAGSBLOG Thursday.
