Duke, North Carolina and Kentucky combined to put 12 recruits in the Jordan Brand Classic on March 27 in Chicago.
Duke has five commits in the game — Jaemyn Brakefield, Jalen Johnson, Jeremy Roach, DJ Steward and Mark Williams — and they will all play on the same team.
Kentucky’s quartet is split up. B.J. Boston and Isaiah Jackson are on one team, with Devin Askew and Terrence Clarke on another.
Carolina’s three recruits — R.J. Davis, Caleb Love and Day’Ron Sharpe — are on the same team.
Montverde (FL) Academy, the favorite to win the GEICO High School Nationals, has three players with Scottie Barnes (Florida State), Cade Cunningham (Oklahoma State) and Sharpe all playing.
From the New York/New Jersey area, Davis plays for Archbishop Stepinac while Virginia commit Jabri Abdur-Rahim plays at Blair Academy. UConn commit Andre Jackson of Albany (NY) Academy also made the game.
There are three uncommitted players in the Jordan Game: Josh Christopher, Jalen Green and Ziaire Williams.
The doubleheader will be held on Friday, March 27th with the Girls Game tipping off at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Boys Game at 8:00 p.m. CST.
“We couldn’t
be more excited to host this year’s Jordan Brand Classic in Chicago, a
city deeply rooted in the game of basketball,” said Craig Williams,
President, Jordan Brand. “What started in Chicago
inspired a culture that ultimately became the foundation of Jordan
Brand. It’s only fitting that the next generation of basketball stars
convene for this prestigious event here in Chicago, a city where
greatness is born.”
