McGowens, the sophomore transfer from Pittsburgh, named Nebraska, TCU, Seton Hall, Auburn, Alabama, Xavier, Ole Miss and Arkansas as his top eight schools on Monday, via Twitter.
As a sophomore during the 2019-20 season, McGowens averaged 11.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.9 steals per game in 33 games played. McGowens started in 31 games and averaged 33.8 minutes.
As a freshman, McGowens averaged 11.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.9 steals per game in 33 games played. He started in 32 games and averaged 27.8 minutes.
