Virginia adds Rice transfer Trey Murphy

Virginia added a major piece on Monday in Rice transfer Trey Murphy.

Murphy chose Virginia over a slew of schools, including Houston, Villanova and Pittsburgh.

The 6-foot-8 sophomore from Durham, N.C., averaged 13.7 points and 5.5 rebound last season. He would have to sit one year to play two unless he’s granted an NCAA waiver.
