Frank Anselem has reclassified into the 2020 class and is down to three schools.
“I’m going to college this fall,” Anselem told ZAGSBLOG via text.
The 6-foot-10, 220-pound center from Napa (Calif.) Prolific Prep, says he is down to Alabama, Georgia and LSU. He broke down each school:
Alabama: “I went on an unofficial last year but haven’t visited since then. Coach Nate [Oats] is new and really knows what he’s doing. He’s a good coach. I can contribute as a lot as my style of play fits with their offense.”
LSU: “It’s a great school, with great history and great facilities. A lot of things are great there. They have a great coach too. I went there on an official visit there last year.”
Georgia: “Georgia has been interested in me since my freshman year. Coach [Tom] Crean is a great coach. I was supposed to officially visit this summer but I couldn’t. I’m from Atlanta but I go to school on the West Coast so going back home for college is also a good idea.”
Anselem says he plans on committing “sometime at the end of this month”, but has no date set.
“I think the biggest factor in my decision is where I can get the best of skill development,” he said.
Before his reclassification, Anselem was ranked as the No. 76 overall prospect in the Class of 2021 per 247Sports.
“Frank was a joy to coach. He’s a winner,” Prolific Prep coach Joey Fuca said. “He does all the dirty work from altering shots to sprinting the floor and is a high-level finisher. He will be a HUGE asset for any program.”
