After Oklahoma State was hit with a postseason ban for the 2020-21 season earlier this month, No. 1 recruit Cade Cunningham has elected to stick with the program.

Cunningham, the 6-foot-6, 215-pound point guard from Montverde (FL) Academy, considered numerous other options over the past few weeks, including the G-League and professional routes overseas.

According to ESPN’s latest Mock Draft, Cunningham is projected as the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Cunningham’s decision comes two days after it was reported that four-star guard Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe remains committed to Oklahoma State.

Cunningham’s brother, Cannen, is an assistant coach at Oklahoma State.

On June 5, Oklahoma State was given a postseason ban for the 2020-21 season as a result of Level I violation involving former associate head coach Lamont Evans.

Oklahoma State has said it is appealing the NCAA penalties.

Oklahoma State currently has the No. 11 ranked recruiting class in the nation, per 247Sports.
