By JACOB POLACHECKIsaiah Barnes, the 6-foot-6, 180-pound small forward from River Forest (IL), announced his commitment to Michigan on Wednesday, via Twitter.
Barnes chose Michigan over schools such as DePaul, Detroit, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Loyola-Chicago, Maryland, TCU, Texas A&M and Wisconsin, among others.
Barnes is the first commit in Michigan’s 2021 class.
The Wolverines have the No. 13 ranked recruiting class in 2020, per 247Sports.com with Hunter Dickinson, Zeb Jackson, Terrance Williams and Jace Howard.
According to 247Sports.com, Barnes is ranked as the No. 26 small forward and No. 106 overall player in the Class of 2021.
