Quincy Allen, the 6-foot-7, 190-pound small forward from Maret School (D.C.), announced his commitment to Colorado on Friday, via Twitter.
He broke down his commitment for ZAGSBLOG by text Friday.
“The style of play in the Pac 12 complements my game,” he said. “I love playing up and down with a fast-paced style.”
Allen joins 7-foot center Lawson Lovering as the second commit in Colorado’s 2021 class.
“I built a great relationship with the entire coaching staff and I feel they were in complete support from the get go,” he said.
Allen took his official visit to Colorado on Feb. 21.
“The community in boulder embraced me on my visit and the scenery there is beautiful,” he said.
Allen chose Colorado over offers from NC State, Boston College, Clemson, Florida, Howard, Louisville, Marquette, Miami, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Syracuse and Wake Forest, among others.
According to 247Sports.com, Allen is ranked as the No. 10 small forward and No. 48 overall player in the Class of 2021.
