Jordan Longino is headed to Villanova.
Longino, the 6-foot-5, 170-pound shooting guard from Germantown (PA) Academy, announced his commitment to Villanova on Thursday, via Instagram.
He chose Villanova over schools such as Indiana, Virginia, Ohio State, UConn, Maryland and Marquette, among others.
“Jordan is the best shot-maker in the Northeast,” said NY Rens coach Andy Borman. “He’s a 6-5 guard with a college body right now. His ability to create off the catch and off the dribble is extremely advanced for a high school-aged player.
“The best thing about Jordan is his versatility and his willingness to do whatever it takes to win the game.
“He has a tremendous IQ and high motor. It’s clear that he has had terrific coaches with him both at Germantown Academy and also with the Philly Pride over the course of his high school career.
“Coach [Jay] Wright and the Villanova family will absolutely love him.”
Longino is the third 2021 commit for Villanova, joining Sanford (DE) School center Nnanna Njoku and Rutgers Prep (NJ) small forward Trey Patterson.
Villanova is still in the running for a number of 2021 prospects including guard Angelo Brizzi, who included the Wildcats in his top eight last week.
According to 247Sports.com, Longino is ranked as the No. 21 shooting guard and No. 96 overall player in the Class of 2021.
