Ohio State is also expected to bring in transfers Seth Towns and Abel Porter. Prior to his reclassification, Johnson was ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 12 point guard and No. 72 overall prospect in the Class of 2021. Johnson, who committed to Ohio State in August of 2019, chose the Buckeyes over offers from Georgetown, Louisville, Xavier, and Wisconsin, among others.
