Class of 2021 guard Noah Shelby has cut his list to 10 schools, he announced Friday, via Twitter. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound combo guard from Greenhill School (TX), is down to Kansas, Memphis, Vanderbilt, Arizona, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Virginia, Stanford, Auburn and Baylor. Shelby broke down his list via Twitter: Kansas: “They love my shooting ability. I talk to coach Norm Roberts every day and he has been saying how I can come in and make an immediate impact.” Memphis: “I have a great relationship with Penny Hardaway and Cody Toppert. They send me a film of NBA guys each and every day.” Vanderbilt: “Coach [Jerry Stackhouse] has decades of NBA experience that I could benefit from.” Arizona: “I have kept in…contact with Sean Miller and Jason Terry. They have been telling me how my ability to shoot can open up the offense for everyone else.” Minnesota: “They think that I can come in there and run the pick-and-roll and have opportunities to play in their system.” Mississippi State: “They’ve been telling me to think big, think Mississippi State,'[that’s] what the coach [Ernie] Ziegler told me.” Virginia: “Coach [Tony] Bennett has made Virginia a powerhouse program. They have a phenomenal tradition of winning.” Stanford: “I love coach Adam Cohen. They have arguably the greatest academics in the nation.” Auburn: “I have a great relationship with coach [Bruce] Pearl and coach [Allen] Flanagan.” Baylor: “I love their system as well as the entire coaching staff. Coach [Scott] Drew is a great person as well as a great coach.” According to 247Sports.com, Shelby is ranked as the No. 16 shooting guard and No. 122 overall prospect in the Class of 2022.
