Georgia Tech senior forward and ACC Player of the Year Moses Wright will miss the opening weekend of the NCAA Tournament due to issues related to COVID-19, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Sources confirm that Georgia Tech's Moses Wright is OUT for this weekend's NCAA Tournament games due to issues related to COVID-19. Significant Round of 64 news.
Wright, a 6-foot-9, 233-pound forward out of Raleigh, N.C., averaged 17.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.5 steals per game this season for the Yellow Jackets.
Georgia Tech is a No. 9 seed in the NCAA Tournament after winning eight of its last nine and being crowned ACC Tournament champions.
The Yellow Jackets will face No. 8 seed Loyola-Chicago Friday in Hinkle Fieldhouse at 4 p.m. ET.
If Georgia Tech advances to the second round, the Yellow Jackets will likely be without Wright for a matchup with the winner of Illinois-Drexel.
