Less than three weeks after committing to St. John’s, Jaquan Sanders has decommitted.

“I felt like I wanted to be more focused and leave New York and I felt leaving New York I would be more focused,” he told ZAGSBLOG.

He also holds offers from Providence, Auburn, Pittsburgh and Kansas State.

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound shooting guard out of Our Saviour Lutheran (NY) School was set to join forces with former high school teammates Posh Alexander and Dylan Addae-Wusu.

St. John’s has four-star guard AJ Storr and unranked point guard Kolby King in its 2022 recruiting class.
