Kylan Boswell, the No. 13-ranked prospect in the class of 2023, made the trip to Urbana-Champaign from Feb. 11-13 for an official visit to the University of Illinois, calling it a “great visit”.
“I loved being on the inside, instead of being just a fan,” Boswell said via text. “The fan base stood out. They sold out the game on Super Bowl Sunday. Fans were standing outside early in the cold. The love is real.”
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound point guard from Compass Prep (AZ), says the Illinois coaching staff was ‘all in’ with the program making custom poker chips with his name on them.
Boswell took his first official visit to UNLV from Jan. 28-30.
“I thought it was awesome,” Boswell said of his UNLV trip. “Having drivers pick you up, staff waiting at nice hotels – I didn’t come from that, but also this was Vegas, so maybe it was nicer than normal.”
Next up for Boswell is a trip to the University of Arizona for his third official visit from Feb. 18-20.
“I don’t have expectations,” Boswell said. “Really, I just plan to show up and see how they feel.”
Boswell is also being recruited heavily by Michigan, USC, Oregon, Texas Tech and Kansas.
“Arizona is the last visit planned right now because GEICO National is the focus after this weekend,” he said.
