Loyola-Chicago wins MVC Tournament Title to Secure Second Straight NCAA Tournament Bid
By HENRY EISENBERG
Loyola-Chicago clinched its third NCAA Tournament appearance since 1985 on Sunday, defeating Drake 64-58 in the Missouri Valley Conference title game.
After turning around the program, head coach Porter Moser left the program this offseason to become the new Oklahoma coach. In his shoes stepped former Rambers assistant Drew Valentine, who has led Loyola-Chicago to a 24-7 record this season.
Last year, Loyola-Chicago lost head coach Porter Moser and star player Cameron Krutwig.
This year, the Ramblers are 24-7 and in the MVC championship game.
Drew Valentine deserves more credit nationwide. One of the best coaches in the country. #OnwardLU
