The latest North Carolina-Duke feud has apparently cooled after tensions were heightened during Saturday night’s handshake line in Mike Krzyzewski’s final game at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Duke assistant Chris Carrawell was seen intentionally not shaking North Carolina head coach Hubert Davis’ hand after the Tar Heels beat the Blue Devils, 94-81. Coach K called the loss “unacceptable.”

On Tuesday, Davis announced that he spoke with Duke coach-in-waiting Jon Scheyer and Carrawell and that there was no bad blood.

“I had a conversation with Jon Scheyer yesterday and also Chris Carrawell and we had two great conversations with both of them,” Davis said. “My relationship with Coach K and the rest of the coaching staff before the game was in a great spot. And it’s in a great spot right now.”

Davis also noted that the mutual respect will continue, should the two programs meet again this season in the ACC or NCAA Tournament. They could meet in the ACC title game on Saturday at Barclays Center.

“I really enjoyed my conversations with Jon and also Chris,” Davis said. “And at the end of our conversations, we both wished each other luck for the remainder of the season.”
