Georgetown has added LSU transfer Brandon Murray, according to multiple reports including one by Jon Rothstein of CBSSports.com.

The 6-foot-5 Murray averaged 10.0 points and 3.0 rebounds as a freshman.

He follows former LSU interim coach Kevin Nickelberry, who joined Patrick Ewing’s staff last month as an assistant.

ā€œIā€™m happy to welcome Brandon Murray to the Hilltop,” Ewing said. “He chose Georgetown and we want to make him feel right at home. I am excited to see what he can do here and he is an important building block in our efforts to return this program back to national prominence.ā€

Georgetown has seen four players transfer out this offseason in Kobe Clark, Timothy Ighoefe, Tyler Beard and Jalin Billingsley.

The Hoyas went 0-19 in the Big East last season and lost 21 straight games to end the season, but Ewing was given a vote of confidence to return for the 2022-23 season with the expectation that changes would be made.

The Hoyas changed two assistant coaches and will now have a revamped roster as well.
