Ladji Dembele, the 6-foot-9 forward from St. Benedict’s Prep and the NY Rens Nike EYBL program, will announce at 5 p.m. Wednesday, he tells ZAGSBLOG.

Dembele recently cut his list to Rutgers, Iowa and Wake Forest, with sources saying Iowa is the favorite.

He has visited Iowa and Wake Forest officially, and Rutgers unofficially.

“Laj is a terrific player, strong, athletic and versatile,” St. Benedict’s coach Mark Taylor said. “He’s 6-9 and can post up and finish strong and extend the defense with the 3 ball.”

The NCAA Early Signing Period runs Nov. 9-16.
