Consensus Second Team All-American Azuolas Tubelis will enter the 2023 NBA Draft, per ESPN’s Jonathan Givony. The big man is not expected to return to the Arizona Wildcats, Givony said.
Tubelis, the 6-foot-11, 245 pound forward from Vilnius, Lithuania, is the No. 68 prospect “best available” prospect on Givony’s 2023 NBA Draft board. That would put him outside the draft field.
Tubelis averaged 19.8 points and 9.1 rebounds for Arizona last year to lead the Wildcats to a Pac 12 Tournament championship. Arizona (No. 2 seed) eventually fell to Princeton (No. 15 seed), 59-55, in one of the biggest upsets of the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Tubelis scored 22 points in that game.
The Lithuania native has been named First-Team All-Pac 12 the past two years as a sophomore and junior. In those two seasons, Tubelis boasts an efficient 55.7% field goal percentage and 28.6% clip from 3.
Tubelis will compete in the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago from May 15-21.
