Rick Pitino continued to overhaul the St. John’s roster with the addition of UConn graduate tranfer Nahiem Alleyne Sunday evening.

The 6-foot-4 senior guard from Buford, Ga., averaged 5.2 points for the national champion Huskies.

Alleyne transferred to UConn from Virginia Tech a year ago.

Alleyne averaged 9.6 points and 2.8 rebounds two years ago while shooting 37 percent from deep for the Hokies, who won the ACC Tournament title. As a sophomore, he averaged 11.1 points and 2.6 assists and shot 41 percent from deep.

He joins transfers Cruz Davis and Daniss Jenkins (Iona) and Sean Conway (VMI) on the St. John’s roster.
