UConn junior Andre Jackson, who exploded during the NCAA Tournament with his instincts and athleticism, has declared for the NBA Draft while retaining his college eligibility.

Jackson averaged 6.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists playing the roll of point forward for Dan Hurley’s national championship squad.

The 6-foot-6 Albany N.Y. native becomes the third key piece from the national champion Huskies to declare for the draft this offseason, joining potential lottery pick Jordan Hawkins and NCAA Tournament MVP Adama Sanogo.

Jackson will likely be a late first to early second round pick, though many think his athleticism could take over in the pre-draft process and significantly boost his stock.
