Kentucky has 6-foot-11 Ugonna Kingsley Onyenso coming back and 7-foot-2 five-star freshman Aaron Bradshaw coming in. Oscar Tshiebwe, the national player of the year a year ago, is testing the NBA Draft waters, but obviously Dickinson has been led to believe he won’t be back. “We talked about that situation obviously because that’s very contingent on even if I was interested in them,” Dickinson said of Tshiebwe. “I wanted to meet with them to talk about that because that has a lot to do with me even being interested in them. I don’t want to say what he’s doing because that’s his business. “Obviously, whatever we talked about was good enough for me to take the visit.” Dickinson was named an AP honorable mention All-America player in 2023. In 2021, he earned a spot on the AP second-team All-America squad. The 7-foot, 1-inch center averaged 18.5 points per game and nine rebounds per game for the Wolverines last season. After Michigan made runs in the NCAA Tournament during his first two seasons, this year the Wolverines missed March Madness and lost in the second round of the NIT to Vanderbilt. Dickinson immediately became the top player in the portal. Follow Adam Zagoria on Twitter Follow ZAGSBLOGHoops on Instagram And Like ZAGS on FacebookNEW ROUNDBALL 4.20 OUT NOW

Michigan transfer Hunter Dickinson met with Kentucky coach John Calipari for two hours this week and told ZAGSBLOG the message he took out of the meeting was “that they really want me.”
“He flew up Tuesday to meet with me in Michigan. He talked to me for like two hours,” Dickinson said on his podcast, via CatsPause.com. “We literally met at the little private airport and then he flew back.”
Dickinson will visit Kentucky April 23-25 after recently visiting Georgetown and Maryland, he told ZAGSBLOG. He’s also expected to visit Kansas next week, and also announced with Marty Mush he will visit Villanova April 27.
