Rutgers transfer Paul Mulcahy visited Xavier on Wednesday and will trip to Notre Dame Thursday, according to a source.
Washington is also in the mix for Mulcahy.
The 6-foot-7 senior averaged 8.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.5 steals this past season and was named Big Ten Honorable Mention. In 121 games over four seasons at Rutgers, he 6.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 0.9 steals in 27.5 minutes per game.
“We had Paul for four years,” Rutgers coach Steve Pikiell said in a recent SiriusXM interview. “So first, everyone always looks at the one year that they don’t play for you, I just am thankful for the four years that he played. He graduated in three years, he was in the middle of his master’s program, the kid was great, and I’m thankful for that time.”
