Eastern Michigan transfer Noah Farrakhan has committed to West Virginia but “likely won’t play this year,” a source said.
Because it’s his second transfer, he needs an NCAA waiver to be immediately eligible.
The 6-foot-2 guard from Newark, N.J. averaged 12.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists last season at Eastern Michigan. He averaged 16.6 points and 2.3 assists during the 2021-22 season there after spending one season at East Carolina.
At West Virginia, he will join interim coach Josh Eilert’s roster that lost Joe Toussaint (Texas Tech) but added transfers Akok Akok (Georgetown), Jesse Edwards (Syracuse), RaeQuan Battle (Montana State), Jeremiah Bembry (Florida State), Quinn Slazinski (Iona), Kerr Kriisa (Arizona) and Jose Perez (Manhattan).
