Class of 2024 top-50 recruit Amier Ali has cut his list to Kentucky, Arkansas, Arizona State, Alabama and Kansas, he initially told On3 Sports.
The 6-foot-8 wing, who plays for IMG Academy (FL.), broke down his options to ZAGSBLOG:
Kentucky: “I love the way coach [John] Calipari lets his players go and how he coaches. I want to go to a place where I can feel comfortable while being held accountable, and I think he is a great coach for that. I also looked at the prospects that have attended and went to the NBA, and they look like me, so that’s a big thing for me
Arkansas: “I love their playing style it stands out a lot with me another coach that will let his players play. [Eric] Musselman is another great coach to me and will get the best out of his players.”
Arizona State: “I love their playing style, and coach [Bobby] Hurley is a great coach I like the way he develops his players and lets them play through their mistakes while also holding them accountable.
Alabama: “Coach [Nate] Oats is a great coach. I love Alabama’s playing style and how he uses his big guards. I was watching a lot of Brandon Miller, and we’re kind of similar, so that stood out to me, too.”
Kansas: “Coach [Bill] Self is a great coach known to win also, which stands out to me. Love how he uses his wings and guards and develops them in the system, and their playing style fits for me also.”
