Dennis Gates has landed Missouri one of its highest-ranked prospects in program history with five-star small forward Annor Boateng pledging to the Tigers on Friday.
Boateng — the 6-foot-5, 205-pound small forward from Little Rock Central (AR) — chose Missouri over his other finalists Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Indiana, LSU, Ohio State and Virginia Tech.
Only three players — Michael Porter Jr., Tony Mitchell and Linas Kleiza — have committed to Missouri ranked higher as prospects than Boateng.
“I chose Missouri because of the staff,” Boateng said to On3. “From my first unofficial visit, they showed that they wanted the best for me. Gates runs a great program over in Missouri and I know I’ll be in good hands.”
Boateng ranks as the No. 26 player in the nation per the 247Sports composite, just slightly securing his five-star status.
