Matt Hodge, the 6-foot-8, 210-pound senior forward from the PSA Cardinals and St. Rose in Belmar, N.J., is down to five schools and will announce Friday, per 247Sports.com.

Hodge is down to Villanova, Maryland, Marquette, Penn State and Seton Hall. He visited all five schools, with his most recent trip coming to Virginia on Sept. 21.

“I visited all of those schools and each one has something new about them that I didn’t see at a previous school,” Hodge told 247. “I learned a lot about each school and where I can see myself being.”

Maryland and Villanova appear to be the favorites, and it’s worth noting that Hodge’s high school coach, Brian Lynch, played at Villanova, while his father, Odell Hodge, played at Old Dominion with Maryland assistant Mike Jones.

Matt Hodge cut Virginia, Xavier, Pitt, Alabama and Old Dominion from his original list of 10.
