Ebrahim Kaba, the 6-foot-8 wing from The Peddie School (N.J.), committed to St. Bonaventure on Monday.
He chose the Bonnies over Richmond, Fordham, North Texas and UCSB.
“I will be taking my talents to St Bonaventure University,” he told ZAGSBLOG.
“I chose the Bonnies because of the culture and how much of a family it is there. When I visited I felt at home and most importantly the staff was great. I felt head coach Mark Schmidt eally does believe in me and what I can do. I can see myself going to Bonaventure and being very
successful.” As for his skillset, he said, “I will bring the ability to shoot at a high level and do everything on the floor whether it’s shooting, dribbling, passing, and guarding multiple positions.” Said Gill St. Bernard’s coach Mergin Sina, who coached Kaba before this year: “He’s a big guard with NBA range. He has the potential to be an elite wing at the college level.” Added Peddie coach Joe Rulewich: “Kaba ‘s versatility and his ability to handle the ball make him a scoring threat at all three levels. But, beyond his ability to score and shoot the basketball with exceptional range, Kaba is one of the most competitive and most coachable players I have coached at Peddie. He is driven yet humble and will immediately make a significant and positive impact at St. Bonaventure on the court, around campus and in the community.” Follow Adam Zagoria on Twitter Follow ZAGSBLOGHoops on Instagram And Like ZAGS on Facebook
