Oswin Erhunmwunse, a top-25 prospect in the class of 2025, is down to Oklahoma, Providence, Creighton and Georgia Tech and will announce on Thursday at 4 p.m. with 247Sports.com.
The 6-foot-9 Class of 2025 big man from Putnam Science (CT) and Team New England has the option to reclass into 2024.
Erhunmwunse has taken a plethora of visits in the winter months, including his most recent visit to Providence on Dec. 21 and an unofficial to Friartown on Dec. 2.
He saw Oklahoma in early December, along with a visit to Creighton in November and Georgia Tech in October. “I like Creighton and Oklahoma, I have good relationship with the coaching staff,” he told On3 Sports. “Providence and Georgia Tech I have good relationships with the players. Oklahoma has a basketball program that’s undefeated as of right now. Creighton has a winning mentality. Georgia Tech is a school with a lot of talented players. Providence and Oklahoma fits my style of play.” Putnam Science assistant Josh Scraba told ZAGSBLOG: “Oswin has the body and athleticism to play this game at the highest level for a very long time. His timing as a shot-blocker is of the highest level. He’s a true game-changer any time he’s on the floor. The rare guys are the ones that change an entire team’s mindset around the rim and he’s one of those guys. Teams avoid the paint when he’s in the game.” This post was updated on Jan. 10.
