Five-star V.J. Edgecombe sets announcement date

Five-star guard V.J. Edgecombe of Long Island Lutheran and Austin Rivers Elite has set his announcement date.

The 6-foot-4 Edgecombe, who is down to Kentucky, Duke and Baylor, will announce on Sunday evening on ESPN2 during the Hoophall Classic.

He has visited all three schools.

His Crystal Ball is 100% in favor of Duke, which already has the No. 1-ranked recruiting class featuring Cooper Flagg, the projected No. 1 pick in 2025.

Edgecombe, a native of the Bahamas, is also a projected lottery pick in 2025.
