SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Jadyn Harris, a three-star wing in the class of 2024 out of Bishop O’Connell (VA.), had one of the more underrated performances at last weekend’s HoopHall Classic, dropping 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting in a 63-54 win over Cardinal Ritter (MO.). He was named MVP of the game.

He showed a nice display of shot creation and execution, constantly getting to his mid-range spots and knocking down contested but efficient jumpers. Harris also has an advanced frame for a high schooler and shouldn’t have much trouble adapting to the next level physically.

“My game is unique,” he told ZAGBLOG postgame. “I’m positionless, I can guard 1-through-4. I’m strong, and I’m fast. Offensively, I can do it all. I start down low sometimes, sometimes on the ball, and sometimes on the wing. It’s a mix of everything.”

He holds offers from a bevy of schools and conferences but mentioned LSU, NC State, and Marquette are schools that have recently been involved.

Harris will take visits after the season and referenced a commitment timeframe.

“It’s coming soon,” he said. “I want to commit before the [transfer] portal gets crazy. I just want to make that decision in the springtime, maybe before March Madness.”

He broke down those three options to ZAGSBLOG:

N.C. State: “They have dawgs. I feel like I can fit in. They play hard and get after it and I feel like that’s my my style of play.”

LSU: “I’m from Louisiana. I grew up on the campus. My cousin is Jarvis Landry, and I grew up around Odell Beckham Jr.

Marquette: “It’s just starting, it’s a fresh start with Marquette. It’s obviously in a good conference, the Big East.”
