Brandon Stores, a four-star in the class of 2025 out of St. Raymond’s (NY.), has committed to Georgia Tech, he announced Monday.
The 6-foot-4 small forward chose the Yellow Jackets over Rutgers and Xavier.
“I choose Georgia Tech because I believe in Coach Stoudamire and the culture he is bringing to Georgia Tech,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “I believe he will help evolve my game and get everything out of me.
“I bring a lot of versatility to Georgia Tech as I can play a lot of different positions and do a lot of different things for Coach Stoudamire.”
“Brandon has a great combination of size, skill and toughness for the guard position which should translate well to the ACC,” St. Ray’s assistant Chris Williams said. “He can defend multiple spots and rebounds well. He’s a big time competitor, excellent teammate and is a pleasure to coach. Coach Stoudamire and staff are getting a high character student-athlete that can hoop.”
Said St. Ray’s head coach Jorge Lopez: “I think Georgia Tech is a good fit for Brandon. I like the direction Coach Stoudamire is taking his program. They’ve had some big wins against nationally ranked opponents. They are just a few pieces away. They are only going to get better. With the addition of Brandon in another year the Yellow Jackets will hopefully be in contention for an ACC title and make a serious run in March.”
He is the first commit in Damon Stoudamire’s class of 2025. Stoudamire and his Georgia Tech staff put together a star-studded 2024 class in their first recruiting cycle, featuring four stars Darrion Sutton, Jaedan Mustaf, and Cole Kirouac.
