Class of 2025 guard Christian Jeffrey, out of Mt. Zion Prep (MD.) and New Heights Lightning, continues to increase his stock after an impressive first season with Mt. Zion.
The Warriors made the semifinal of the Maryland Private School State Tournament, thanks in part to Jeffrey’s continous playmaking and improved three-point shooting.
The 6-foot-3 combo guard has long been known to take defenders to the rim with his explosive athleticism and crafty finishing. However, Jeffrey put an emphasis this season on making the open three-ball and creating more for his teammates
“Now, I’m looking to throw the ball to my shooters, find the big man and just make the right play,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “I’ve improved on being more of a leader, talking more and shooting the three-ball way more confidently.”
Jeffrey holds offers from Oklahoma State, Maryland, UCF and Hofstra, among several others, but has garnered significant interest within the past week.
“Marquette reached out to me last night [Tuesday],” he said. “Also, Villanova reached out two-three days ago.”
He picked up an offer from Rhode Island on Sunday as well.
“It’s going good with them,” he said. “They’ve been at my games a lot, maybe 4-of-5 games. They like me a lot and want me to come down there.”
Jeffrey has no visits planned but will look to take some in between EYBL sessions.
