Class of 2024 four-star star point guard Daquan Davis has committed to Florida State, he announced live to On3.
Davis — the 6-foot-1, 165-pound point guard from Overtime Elite — chose Florida State over Georgia Tech.
“Coach [Leonard] Hamilton and I have a great relationship,” Davis said. “Coach Hamilton and the rest of the coaching staff, they need a point guard to come in, fill in and bring winning back to the program. And that’s what I’m going to do.”
Davis is the No. 78 overall player in the class of 2024 and No. 7 point guard per 247Sports. Davis said he will bring a hard working mentality to the Seminoles.
“I’m going to guard the best guy on the floor,” Davis said. “I’m going to give the best guy on the floor problems on offense. Just come out there to win really.”
Hamilton now has two commits in the class of 2024 with three-star small forward AJ Swinton already signed. Davis was one of the last players available in the class of 2024 and the highest ranked point guard remaining. Still available are players like five-star small forwards Liam McNeeley and Bryson Tucker, four-star power forwards Khani Rooths and Makhan Diouf.
