The 2024 McDonald’s All-American game is set to tipoff at 9 p.m. Tuesday but several prospects have already made a name for themselves amongst their teammates.
Bronx native and Kentucky signee Boogie Fland has had a strong week, drawing scouts and player’s alike to comment on his game.
“One person that has stood out to me is Boogie Fland,” top-15 unsigned recruit Liam McNeeley said. “He’s been really good. We’ve been playing a lot together and he’s gotten the job done.”
Aside from the Stepinac guard, Rutgers signee Ace Bailey has been the star of the show. Bailey has displayed an offensive bag that could translate to the pro level within a year and proven nearly impossible to guard.
Bailey has the chance to matchup with No. 1 overall recruit Cooper Flagg, though the Duke commit isn’t “looking for any matchups.”
“He’s [Bailey] one of the toughest workers I’ve ever seen,” five-star Flory Bidunga said. “I’ve never seen [this] in my life.”
Bidunga also mentioned Long Island Lutheran product and Baylor commit VJ Edgecombe as someone who’s impressed him the most, along with Don Bosco’s Dylan Harper (Rutgers) and Link Academy’s Tre Johnson (Texas).
