Liam McNeeley, the top unsigned senior and No. 15 overall recruit, has been in touch with Kansas, UConn, Kentucky, Houston and Michigan since decommitting from Indiana, he said at the McDonald’s All-American Game media day.
“There’s more for sure that I’m missing, but those are the ones at the top of my mind right now,” he said at the McDonald’s Game.
However, the Monteverde Academy (FL.) forward isn’t honed in on recruiting just yet. He has put his focus toward Tuesday’s McDonald’s All-American Game and next weekend’s Chipotle Nationals.
He said that after Nationals, there will be more in terms of visits and a potential commitment timetable.
McNeeley has had a strong week in Houston, making plays all over the court during scrimmages and doing work that may not show up on the boxscore at times.
“A lot of people sleep on this is my athleticism,” he said. “It might not be flashy, I’m not dunking on a lot of people, but I can get the job done.”
He also backed his Montverde teammates Cooper Flagg and Derek Queen as two standouts from the week, while including Kentucky signee and Stepinac product Boogie Fland.
