North Carolina star guard RJ Davis will officially return to Chapel Hill for a fifth season, he announced.
The news initially came out last month.
The 6-foot point guard from Archbishop Stepinac (NY.) averaged 21.2 points, 3.6 assists and 3.5 rebounds last season en route to the ACC Player of the Year Award, Jerry West Award and first-team All-American. The Tar Heels now return starting guards in Davis and Elliot Cadeau while also bringing back Seth Trimble, who removed his name from the Transfer Portal, and adding high-scoring Belmont transfer Cade Tyson. Hubert Davis and North Carolina bring in the No. 12 freshman class, headlined by McDonald’s All-Americans Ian Jackson and Drake Powell. They also host Rutgers transfer Cliff Omoruyi starting Thursday.RJ Davis is BACK 💪
