Jamier Jones, a five-star wing in the Class of 2025, has committed to Providence, he told ZAGSBLOG.
The 6-foot-6 Floridian chose the Friars over Kansas, Houston, LSU, South Carolina and Ohio State.
“I most definitely [will have] a dawg mentality from the start,” he said. “I want [to] give the guys I’m playing with [confidence as] a freshman coming in [to ]do whatever it takes for us to win a championship. [I’m] a leader, a willing passer [and a] rim attacker!”
Jones is the second commit in Kim English’s class of 2025, joining four-star center Erhunmwunse Oswin. English has shown he can recruit with the best, hauling in Providence’s first five-star since Kris Dunn in Jones. He’s also brought in top transfers in the 2024 offseason, including Wesley Cardet (Chicago State), Jabri Abdur-Rahim (Georgia), Christ Essandoko (St. Joe’s) and Bensley Joseph (Miami).
