USF has picked up a commitment from class of 2025 four-star small forward Joshua Lewis, per his Instagram page. Lewis was fresh off a visit this past weekend.
Lewis — the 6-foot-6, 165-pound small forward from Blake High School (FL) — will be joining his hometown school. Blake is under a 20 minute drive to USF’s basketball arena the Yuengling Center.
“Ultimately, I chose USF because of the great relationship I’ve built with not only coach Amir [Abdur-Rahim] but the whole staff,” Lewis told On3. “Also, I feel I am going to fit great in their system. They’ve shown me love since day one and have been consistent throughout the whole process.”
Lewis is rated the No. 60 player in the country per 247Sports and the No. 8 player in the state of Florida.
This is head coach Abdur-Rahim’s first pickup in the class of 2025. Lewis’ commitment has brought USF’s 2025 class to No. 11 overall in the country per 247Sports.
“Coach Amir is a great man who I respect and trust with my future,” Lewis said to On3. “He sees a lot in me, and I think he will help me reach my full potential.”
Lewis is the highest rate recruit in USF history, per On3.
